David Chang and Goodwin Gaw, owners of the 298 room Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, have once again taken over the management reigns in order to further preserve the truly unique spirit of the hotel and give the undivided attention that only an in-house, independent management company may provide
The iconic boutique hotel has recently undergone a $25 million room renovation, led by internationally renowned design firm Yabu Pushelberg. With a palette showcasing subtle textures, beautiful leathers, and soft grey tones with persimmon-red accents, the new design maintains the integrity of the hotel’s Spanish Colonial roots, but with a modern twist. Under the new management direction, the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel will continue to maintain the individuality that has allowed it to forge a distinctive place in Hollywood history for nearly 90 years, while tastefully revitalizing its storied past.
The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel has long been a meeting spot for Hollywood elite and entertainment industry figures. Spaces within the hotel such as the Tropicana Cafe and the Library Bar draw creatives for its intimate and picturesque surroundings- a welcome respite from the bustling Hollywood neighborhood.
The Hollywood Roosevelt exudes the charm and glamour of a bygone era through its other spaces as well: from the prohibition-era style cocktail lounge and hand-crafted bowling alley the Spare Room; to famed Hollywood hot spot, Teddy’s; to the incredible views from its iconic Rooftop; and including one of Hollywood’s most cherished oases: the Tropicana Pool, with its mass of palm trees and the renowned David Hockney pool–a celebrated artistic and architectural masterpiece.
