Occupying the top floor of the InterContinental Geneva (18th floor) The Residence was designed by Tony Chi and is composed of an East and West wing, creating a space with two master bedrooms and nine additional rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows—including a grand salon, library, gallery, private elevator, kitchen, bar, and personal butler. The East Wing encompasses a living and dining room, master bedroom, bathroom, guest powder room, massage room, hamman, dressing chamber, vestibule chamber, and pantry; while the West Wing includes an additional fitness room and sauna.
“The objective was to provide the hotel with a completely new look—modern but classical—and at one with the natural beauty and sophisticated international presence of the city on the Rhône,” says Chi. “The overall design, colors, materials, and furniture were all chosen to give InterContinental Genève a grand presence that is both welcoming to guests and symbolic of the city’s important role in Swiss life and global affairs.”
Speaking about The Residence, Jurgen Baumhoff, General Manager of the InterContinental Hotel Geneva told CPP-LUXURY.COM exclusively: ”The Residence provides the ultimate luxury lifestyle experience, suited for the most discerning guests, whether they are heads of state, businessmen or wealthy leisure travellers. We provide guests with a 360 degree personalized service – 24 hour butler, barman, Chef and Spa therapist. Guests can personalize their music, TV as well as food & beverage”
Baumhoff added: ”This is not only Geneva’s largest luxury hotel suite but it also also one of the most secure and safe – the 18th floor is totally secured from the rest of the hotel (including AC), which is located within steps from the U.N. headquarters. With The Residence, we are targetting a very select client profile who would appreciate the ultimate decor and services. Our main target markets are the Middle East, Africa and Europe ”
