The Sanderson and St Martins Lane hotels, the two London outposts of Morgans Hotel Group have recently completed extensive renovations and upgrades, both overseen by Tim Andreas of Banjo Ad Inc.
At The Sanderson there is a new sense of modern inspired the baroque era. Tim’s designs are inspired by decorative motifs from the 17th century including decorative, plaster trophy designs, elaborate wood oak carvings and hand-blocked scenic wallpaper to reflect the serenity and comfort of an English Manor House. With minor updates to the bathroom design, it remains encased in a glowing floor-to-ceiling glass box wrapped in golden layers of sheer curtains.
At St Martins Lane, the 204 guest rooms now showcase an “experiential approach to minimalism” with the rooms designed to create the feeling that guests are floating over the city. The newly-painted room will enhance this lighting effect, which will also reflect off of the newly dichroic laminated glass desk
The newly renovated rooms and suites at The Sanderson and St Martins Lane also received a tech upgrade, adding new flat-screen smart TVs, media hubs with USB charging, and additional charging stations near the bed.
