Tiffany & Co hosted its annual Blue Book Ball at the Rockefeller Center in New York last week to celebrate the launch of its new jewellery collection inspired by the premiere of the new ‘Great Gatsby’ movie. Tiffany & Co provided collaborated with the movie producers and cast, providing 20 pieces of high jewellery, including the Savoy headpiece (with diamonds and freshwater cultured pearls), a corsage necklace of baguette with round-cut diamonds in platinum and a shell necklace of rolling motion (dotted with glossy red rubellite cabochons).
Tiffany & Co’s Blue Book dates back to 1845, when Charles Tiffany created the first retail catalogue by presenting drawings of his offerings bound in a blue tome.
The Blue Ball 2013 was attended by Carey Mulligan lead actress in the new ‘The Great Gatsby’ movie as well as producer, Jessica Biel, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Hudson.
