Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago has recently completed a renovation of its 339 guest rooms and suites. Hirsch Bedner Associates was in charge with the multi-million dollar revamp, which includes new color schemes, custom carpeting, headboards, reframed artwork and updated fabric finishes, wall coverings in the guest rooms and suites, guest room corridors and elevator lobbies. Room technology upgrades were also made.
The hotel’s 53 spa guest rooms were also refreshed with a lighter color palette and natural materials. HBA implemented a design theme called “Marquette,” modeled after the historic Chicago building by incorporating neutral brass and tan colors with the existing elements of the property. The design team commissioned organic, hand-loomed carpet with light tans and creams to complement the textured wall covering and updated the furniture upholstery and pillows with brighter fabrics featuring soothing patterns in hues of blue. HBA also developed headboards covered with ceruse oak and ostrich vinyl that reach ceiling height.
Additional renovation plans are in the works for the remainder of 2017, and will include cosmetic upgrades to Rebar, the property’s mezzanine level lounge and its two-Michelin starred restaurant Sixteen.
