French luxury jewellery Maison Van Cleef & Arpels hosted a lavish party this week at the iconic Chateau Chambord, on the Loire Valley outside Paris.
A symbol of Renaissance architecture, Château de Chambord was chosen by the jeweller to be the scene of an inspirational tale by Charles Perrault, Peau d’Âne, a magical kingdom being recreated, in which unicorns exist and elephants roam at the Loire Valle.
The spectacular event was attended by over hundred guests who could discover new High Jewellery creations of the Maison based in Paris on Place Vendôme. Several top VIP guests and customers were flown-in by helicopter.
The event was held twice on 27 and 28 June and was the subject of fervent controversy in some of the French media over the fact that the French State (owner of the Castle) ‘rented’ the historical castle for event with commercial purposes.
