On Saturday, June 1, 2013, the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic will return to the beautiful Liberty State Park in New Jersey, less than half an hour drive from Manhattan (by ferry, from Battery Park, the ride to Liberty State Park is 10 mins). Guests will have the opportunity to watch world-renowned polo player and event co-host Nacho Figueras and his team, Black Watch, go head-to-head against some of the best polo players in the world.
With sweeping views of Manhattan and less than 2,000 feet from the Statue of Liberty, Liberty State Park covers 1,212 acres of land. More than 6.000 attendees are expected at the fourth edition of the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, with many Hollywood and sporting celebrities confirmed too (last year, the event was hosted by Clive Owen). The 2012 edition was held in Los Angeles, the Liberty State Park having been damaged by a hurricane.
