Russian billionaire Vladislav Doronin, which fronted the acquisition of Aman Resorts from India’s DLF Group in March, has been appointed CEO of the company replacing Adrian Zecha who has decided to step down from his position as Chairman and CEO. The move comes as a surprise, given that Adrian Zecha is also the founder and the visionary behind the Aman Resorts.
Adrian Zecha is also the co-founder of GHM Hotels being actively involved in the company as a Director. GHM Hotels is the owner of the CHEDI luxury resort hotels brand.
The Group’s new CEO, Vladislav Doronin said ”As lead investor and CEO, I am dedicated to ensuring that the organization has the necessary resources to sustain and enhance its position as an industry pioneer. The future holds great promise for this iconic brand.”
Vladislav Doronin is the Chairman and Founder of Capital Group, which he started 21 years ago and built into one of the most successful property development companies in Russia. Capital Group’s portfolio comprises over 70 major projects with a total area of over 70 million square feet or 7 million square meters, including some of the most significant buildings in present-day Moscow: business centers, hotels, residential, retail and mixed-use complexes.
