Leaders from Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA), Wilson Associates, and Shanghai’s Arcplus have announced the formation of a strategic alliance to provide a integrated project delivery that fully innovates architecture, design, and engineering technology. The union will aim to increase efficiency and integrate all stages of the design process to ensure nothing is lost over the course of the collaborative process.
The three firms explain the union will focus on high-rise structures with the goal of redefining the future of design, architecture, and project delivery. The partnership will be commemorated in a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony in Shanghai, as well as celebratory events at ZHA and Wilson Associates’ respective headquarters in London and New York over the coming months.
“We see this alliance as a continuation of global best practice, maintaining research, and innovative thrust, where each of the firm’s individual strengths will deliver the most ambitious projects,” says ZHA in a statement. “The combination of design excellence, resources, knowledge, and sector leading expertise, enables us to deliver more sophisticated,high-performance, and high-value projects.”
“The conceptual and creative force of Zaha Hadid Architects, Arcplus’ architectural and structural engineering excellence, and Wilson Associates’ unparalleled expertise in hospitality interiors, together will offer next-generation design,” Wilson Associates adds. “Three highly decorated firms, each come with storied legacies and unparalleled reputations for innovative and imaginative designs.
