Wynn Resorts is pleased to announce that Max Tappeiner has been appointed to the role of President of Wynn Al Marjan Island, Wynn’s newest resort currently under development in the United Arab Emirates.
Tappeiner joined Wynn Las Vegas in 2022 and previously served as Senior Vice President of Operations and Executive Vice President of Operations for the resort before his most recent appointment.
Prior to joining Wynn Resorts, Tappeiner held senior leadership positions at Resorts World and Venetian and Palazzo in addition to years spent working for non-gaming luxury operators such as Mandarin Oriental and Kempinski in gateway cities like Washington DC, New York, London, Berlin, and Munich. He holds an executive MBA from the Royal University of Melbourne, Australia.
Wynn Al Marjan Island, slated to open in 2027, is located in Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with a beach-front setting overlooking the azure waters of the Arabian Gulf. Developed in partnership with Marjan LLC and RAK Hospitality Holding LLC, it is projected to be the first multibillion-dollar integrated, multi-amenity resort in the UAE.
Offering a premium luxury experience, Wynn Al Marjan Island will include a hotel with 1,500 rooms, suites, and villas along with exceptional entertainment and gaming amenities to include 24 dining and lounge experiences, innovative spa and wellness experiences, a high-end shopping esplanade, a state-of-the-art events center, a theater hosting a unique production show, and other amenities.
Tappeiner will begin his role as President of Wynn Al Marjan Island effective September 1, 2024.
