According to British media, Italian luxury menswear house Ermenegildo Zegna is among several major international luxury brands seeking to expand their presence in London, motivated by the booming number of foreigners shopping for luxury branded goods. Zegna is aiming to open a large flagship to feature all its collections including its art projects. Other luxury brands actively targetting a new store opening on London’s Bond Street are Fendi (LVMH Group) and Chanel. All new luxury stores will average 20.000 sq ft.
Chanel’s existing London stores on Bond Street and Sloane Street are much smaller than its flagship stores in major capital cities. Fendi’s only stand alone store in London, on Sloane Street is less than 200 sqm.
