Eugenio Pirri is to step down from his role as joint chief executive officer at the Dorchester Collection. His departure has came as a surprise, with Pirri leaving officially at the end of the year. In a brief statement the luxury hotel operator said: “Eugenio Pirri has decided to step down as joint chief executive officer to focus on new pursuits from 1 January 2025. The company wishes him all the best in these ventures and thanks him for his immense contributions since he started 14 years ago.”
Pirri joined the Dorchester Collection in 2011 as vice-president, people and organisational development, before being made joint chief executive with Helen Smith, then the company’s chief customer experience officer, in 2023. He has long been an advocate for culture, diversity and inclusion, and has spent much of his 30-year career putting people at the centre of business decision-making.
He had previously worked for Fairmont, Pan Pacific and Starwood before joining Dorchester Collection in 2011. Pirri added: “This is what makes the hospitality industry so amazing. It’s an industry where you can come in and make something yourself. The potential and opportunity is endless. The path is your choosing.”
Eugenio Pirri spoke to CPP-LUXURY.COM in an exclusive interview in 2023.
We wish him well !!!
