Invel Real Estate, an important player in the real estate private equity market, has provided €111.2 million in financing to support the transformation of the former Hotel Majestic into Baccarat Hotel Rome. The property, originally opened in 1889, has been undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment, with Pierre-Yves Rochon and IA Interior Architects bringing their creative visions to the opening.
Upon completion in late 2026, Baccarat Hotel Rome will comprise 87 rooms and suites, a terraced restaurant looking over Via Veneto, a Grand Salon and a rooftop bar and lounge. Baccarat Hotels & Resorts’ arrival in Rome, following its success in New York, will establish a new benchmark for luxury in the city’s hospitality market.
Invel currently has approximately 2,000 keys under management across the Mediterranean through its vertically integrated operating platform. “This transaction exemplifies Invel’s ability to finance best-in-class real estate assets in Southern Europe’s most sought-after locations,” says Gabriele Magotti, Chief Investment Officer of Invel Real Estate.
“Baccarat Hotel Rome combines an unbeatable location, an iconic brand, and an exceptional design concept, making it one of the most compelling luxury hospitality investments in the region. We are proud to support this transformation and confident in the long-term value creation it will deliver.”
