How would you describe Red Sea Global Hospitality and its vision?
Red Sea Global Hospitality, the first Saudi luxury hospitality operator under Red Sea Global, represents a new era in luxury travel. Our mission is to redefine what it means to curate, operate, and elevate world-class destinations. We focus on creating
exceptional guest experiences across a portfolio of iconic properties. Unlike traditional operators, we also pioneer our own independent resorts, crafted from the ground up to embody originality, authenticity, and unparalleled luxury.
Our first two flagship properties, Shebara, a breathtaking overwater island resort, and Desert Rock, an extraordinary mountain retreat carved into dramatic rock formations, are clear examples of our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and distinction. With these resorts, Red Sea Global Hospitality positions itself not only as a regional leader but also as a global force shaping the future of ultra-luxury hospitality.
What guided your choice of locations for these resorts?
The locations were chosen carefully, not just for their natural beauty, but to reflect our unwavering commitment to sustainability and regenerative tourism. Shebara is a 45-minute boat ride from the world-class Red Sea International Airport, while Desert Rock
is just a 30-minute drive away. The new airport already welcomes direct flights from Dubai, Doha, Riyadh, and Jeddah, and we expect more connections in the near future. The recent partnership with Riyadh Air will further connect The Red Sea to the world.
Can you tell us about the guest experiences at Shebara and Desert Rock?
Both Shebara and Desert Rock are designed to deliver extraordinary culinary, wellness, and adventure experiences that set new benchmarks in luxury travel. At Desert Rock, dining is led by acclaimed Turkish chef Osman Sezener at Nyra, where the primal
artistry of wood-fired cooking celebrates the best of land and sea.
Mica elevates mixology with inventive mocktails, Basalt brings a refined take on modern Indian cuisine, Poolside Wadi pairs vibrant Peruvian flavors with live DJ sets, The Library transitions from a serene tea and coffee lounge by day to a sultry jazz spot by night, while The Observatory, perched high above the resort, offers exquisite pastries and imaginative beverages with breathtaking views.
At Shebara, culinary artistry takes shape across five distinct venues: iki.roe, where interactive kitchens showcase modern Nikkei and omakase menus; Ariamare, delivering Italian creativity and Michelin-inspired finesse; Lunara, a seaside brasserie blending
comfort classics with panoramic views; Saria, a beachside haven for Levantine flavors; and Solera, an adults-only poolside lounge serving expertly crafted drinks against the backdrop of cinematic Red Sea sunsets.
Wellness at both resorts is exceptional. The award-winning spa at Shebara offers signature rituals such as the Pearl & Green Caviar Hammam and the Moonlight Meteorite Massage, while at Desert Rock, therapies draw on desert-inspired traditions,
complemented by globally acclaimed products, to deliver profound relaxation and rejuvenation.
Beyond dining and wellness, adventure is at the heart of every stay. Shebara offers a spectacular array of over-water activities. stand-up paddling, kayaking, sailing, snorkeling, and diving—while Desert Rock brings the desert alive with hiking, climbing,
abseiling, Via Ferrata, ziplining, and electric-powered explorations by ATV and e-bike. Family-friendly activities such as stargazing, sandboarding, and Zorbing ensure unforgettable experiences for guests of every age.
Sustainability seems to be a key focus. How is this implemented in the resorts?
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Shebara is powered by an onsite solar farm, equipped with a desalination plant, and supported by a circular waste management system that minimizes material transport, significantly reducing carbon
emissions. Desert Rock, carved into massifs and cantilevered over crevices, integrates harmoniously with the desert floor. We use site-sourced materials, advanced water systems, and low-impact operational strategies. Every structure is precisely placed to
preserve sweeping vistas and maintain the clarity of starlit skies.
How do you ensure service excellence across your resorts?
Besides offering an exceptional product, we are committed to delivering unparalleled service standards. We run extensive internal training programs, with a strong focus on developing local graduates, alongside external training from prestigious firms such as
Forbes to ensure our teams uphold the highest luxury standards.
We select the best hospitality professionals from around the world, most with extensive experience at leading international hotel groups. Our Saudi staff, naturally embodying warmth, consistently exceed guest expectations with their commitment and dedication. All our staff benefit from exceptional facilities and working conditions, enabling them to deliver excellence every day.
How do culture and heritage play a role in your resorts?
Respect is central to everything we do. We embrace different backgrounds and perspectives, and we deeply respect the culture and heritage of Saudi Arabia. We are passionate about showcasing Saudi Arabia’s warm hospitality to the world.
Our architecture is Saudi inspired, blending modern sustainable design with traditional regional elements, drawing inspiration from desert landscapes, mountain forms, and historical coastal settlements. This ensures that each resort is not only visually striking but also culturally authentic.
Any final thoughts on Red Sea Global Hospitality’s mission?
At Red Sea Global Hospitality, we are not just building resorts—we are creating experiences that reflect the beauty, culture, and innovation of Saudi Arabia. From sustainability to luxury service, local talent to international expertise, every element is carefully designed to set new benchmarks in ultra-luxury hospitality. We are proud to contribute to Saudi Arabia’s history in the making and excited to welcome the world to these extraordinary destinations.
