How has The Marmorosch performed in 2025? What are your expectations for the rest of this year?
2025 has been an outstanding year for The Marmorosch. We are honored to have been awarded a Michelin Key and also recognized as the Best Hotel in Romania by the Romanian Hospitality Culture Institute. These distinctions are a testament to our commitment to excellence, creativity, and authenticity.
Operationally, we have recorded steady performance in both occupancy and rate, driven by a balanced mix of leisure, business, and international guests. For the remainder of the year, our priority is to continue elevating the guest journey and reinforcing The Marmorosch as the reference point for luxury hospitality in Romania.
We are also looking forward to our signature Christmas season, which has become a defining event for Bucharest. The Marmorosch is proud to have been the pioneer and flagship of how Christmas should look and feel in the city, inspiring the festive spirit across the capital.

Our unique strengths include our architectural heritage, the immersive art-deco interior, the award-winning Vault Bar, and a strong sense of place that connects history with modern lifestyle. Within Bucharest’s luxury landscape, we are positioned at the top tier, standing apart through our authentic story, emotional engagement, and curated guest experiences.
What has been the evolution of rates in Bucharest, especially since the opening of a new luxury property and the renovations of another important player?
The Bucharest luxury segment has evolved positively. The arrival of new international brands and property upgrades has brought healthy competition, encouraging an uplift in quality and rates across the market. At The Marmorosch, we maintain a rate leadership position, supported by our international recognitions – Michelin Key and Best Hotel in Romania – and by the value guests associate with our distinctive, story-driven experience. We compete not only on facilities but on emotion, authenticity, and service artistry.
Has the political / economic context (both local and international) affected the business in any way?
While the global economic climate remains complex, The Marmorosch has demonstrated resilience. Bucharest continues to attract both corporate and leisure travel, and our strong brand positioning has shielded us from volatility. In fact, we’ve noticed a growing interest from international travelers seeking emerging European destinations that offer cultural depth and refined hospitality. Romania fits perfectly into that narrative, and The Marmorosch plays a key role in shaping its luxury perception.
Which are the key feeder markets? To what extent do you also attract non-resident guests?
Our main international feeder markets include the UK, France, Germany, the United States, and Israel, with increasing interest from the Gulf region and Central Europe. Non-resident guests represent a significant portion of our clientele, drawn by the hotel’s reputation and its architectural and cultural heritage.
At the same time, we remain a beloved destination for local residents, particularly for dining, events, and social experiences. Our signature lobby and Vault bar have become lifestyle landmarks for Bucharest’s cosmopolitan community.
How are the F&B and wellness concepts conceived?
Our culinary and wellness concepts are designed as journeys of discovery. The Marmorosch Blank Restaurant celebrates the artistry of Romanian flavors interpreted with a modern, international touch. Meanwhile, our Vault Bar, set in the former bank vault, has become an iconic venue, renowned for its creative mixology and immersive atmosphere.
