From 30 June to 4 July, the Fall Winter Paris Haute Couture welcomes 23 fashion maisons, marking the much anticipated return of Dutch duo Viktor & Rolf after 13 years of absence from Haute Couture but also the shows of ‘outsiders’ – off the official calendar – Fendi by Karl Lagerfeld and Elsa Schiaparelli by Christian Lacroix.
Karl Lagerfeld will host an outdoor photography exhibition along the river Seine, ‘The Glory of Water’ picturing the most beautiful fountains of Rome. With the occasion, Fendi will also inaugurate its new Parisian flagship store on Avenue Montaigne.
Christian Lacroix will present 15 haute couture pieces, the collection being entitled ‘Un recit d’amour pour Elsa’. The catwalk show will take place at 21, Place Vendome the legendary showroom and atelier of Schiaparelli, which was acquired 2 years ago by Diego della Valle, owner of Tod’s Group.
The 4th of July is dedicated to the haute jewellery, with Van Cleef Arpels, Dior, Chanel, Chaumet. Bulgari and Chopard showing their high jewellery collections with the collections of designers Rad Hurani and Zuhair Murad.
