The 110-room hotel is the third Delano branded portfolio property and will be part of The8, a contemporary mixed-used development currently under construction on Palm Jumeirah, a manmade island. Inspired by the Delano in South Beach Miami, The8 will feature the hotel; a gym; tennis courts; barbeque and event areas; a signature beachfront restaurant; and beach cabanas.
“Dubai is an ideal destination for us to debut our first Delano property in the Middle East,” says Jason Kalisman, interim CEO, of Morgans Hotel Group. “Delano Dubai’s prime beachfront island location on Palm Jumeirah has a sleek contemporary design and upscale resort facilities that will attract an international clientele.”
Guests will be able to choose from the hotel’s one, two, and three-bedroom units, presidential suite, and residential units. IFA Hotel Investments will be in charge of the Delano Dubai’s asset management and the operational aspects of development in addition to managing the property when it opens.
Future Delano branded properties are planned for Cesme (Turkey) and Cartagena (Colombia). Delano Dubai is expected to open 2017.
