IKKS, the French ready-to-wear label for women, men and children recently inaugurated its first UK boutique.
The LBO France investment fund acquired a stake in IKKS in July 2015 and now the label has the means to finance its retail expansion plan both in France and abroad. As a result, IKKS’s first London store was opened on 11th June.
It is located at 10 South Molton Street, a stone’s throw from Oxford Street, and it extends over approximately 40 m². In such a small space, the brand is only showcasing the womenswear line.
IKKS is already available in the UK through multi-brand stores, and will rely on the visibility and notoriety a directly operated shop can bring to grow on the British market. The brand is reportedly planning to open other stores in the British capital.
A few weeks ago, IKKS opened several stores in Madrid and Paris. After London, the brand is set to open a first Swiss shop in Geneva, and a sixth one in Germany.
