The recent opening of Acne Studios‘ first retail space in the Thai capital bears witness to this trend. The Stockholm-based fashion brand has secured a unit on the ground floor, rubbing shoulders with the boutiques of peers from fashion and lifestyle’s upper echelon, such as Dior, Gentle Monster, Prada, Le Labo and Thailand‘s very own Sirivannavari.
The interior design, created by Acne Studios creative director Jonny Johanssson and Swedish architecture practice Halleröd, is aligned with the brand’s latest design codes. Anchored by pink granite, captured by the store’s façade, large floor tiles and two large support pillars, the walls are plastered in a neutral white hue, allowing the furnishings and fixtures to stand out in all their simplicity.

The latter comprise a striking metal sales counter, matching cabinets, tiered shelving units, and sleek clothing racks, in addition to tufted fabric sofas by British furniture designer Max Lamb, and chunky black displays. A quirky configuration of metal light fixtures by Paris-based designer Benoît Lalloz add a visual dynamic to the setting.
The new Acne Studios store stocks a selection of men’s and women’s apparel, accessories, bags, small leather goods, shoes, jewellery pieces and eyewear.
