Acne Studios has expanded and fully revamped its boutique in downtown Melbourne. First opened in 2014 at The Strand, a popular shopping complex, the retail space has now more than doubled its size while gaining both prominent window space and an entrance on bustling Elizabeth Street along the way.
The premises, designed by Acne Studios‘ in-house design team, now feature the latest retail design codes. Open and light, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows, the interior sees immaculately stuccoed white walls paired with large sandblasted marble tiles and a ceiling with a meticulously arranged configuration of industrial-inspired light fixtures by Paris-based designer Benoît Lalloz.
Furnishings and fixtures are few and mostly simple, comprising sleek metal shelving and clothing racks, in addition to British designer Max Lamb‘s boldly contrasting batik-dyed canvas ottomans. A cube clad in slabs of mirror which accommodates the store’s cash desk. The renewed Acne Studios store carries the brand’s full range of men’s and women’s apparel
