The new Alexander McQueen boutique in Tokyo at Omotesando is the first flagship store in Japan to reflect a new concept in collaboration with creative director Sarah Burton and architect Smiljan Radic. The Omotesando store is located along Omotesando and is located on the 1st floor of the complex building “Oak Omotesando” adjacent to the “EMPORIO ARMANI” Aoyama store.
It has a total sales floor area of 253 square meters and consists of two floors. The first floor deals with women’s and the second floor deals with men’s. For the interior of the store, we use wood of various tones such as oak and walnut to reflect the respect for nature that the brand values. It has a glass exterior so that you can see the zelkova trees of Omotesando from the inside of the store.

The walls and ceiling are made of recycled material “cotton crete” made from waste cotton and plaster. The material was originally developed by the brand and is used only in stores with a new concept. Chairs and desks in the store are unified by “Carl Hansen & Søn”. A natural stone display is also installed.
There are 4 fitting rooms available. Each of them is a combination of a glass cylinder and a curtain that uses the archival pattern of the butterfly motif that appeared in the Fall/Winter 2018-19 collection . It is said that the curtain was made by hand.
In commemoration of the opening, products limited to the same store are on sale. For women, in addition to dresses (658,000 yen), jackets (630,000 yen) and skirts (125,000 yen) that combine a checkered pattern and black fabric in asymmetry, a shoulder bag with heart motifs such as studs ( 280,000 yen), and men’s bicolor double-breasted jackets (364,000 yen) and pants (83,000 yen) are available. In addition, the new “Tall Story bag” (320 to 390,000 yen / tax not included) will be sold in advance.
