Alexander Wang is the inaugural designer to be featured on Apple Music. The American fashion designer has created three custom playlists for Apple Music’s fashion curator program, which launched June 6.
The program is a celebration of the “intrinsic connection” between fashion and music, Apple says, and it will debut and feature three custom playlist created by Wang. Called Chill, Hype and Vibe, they feature everything from hip hop to r&b, from dance to jungle trap. Apple says the playlists “run the spectrum from dark, sexy vibes to tunes to turn up to.”
Wang is known for his passion for music and has collaborated with artists including The Weeknd, Diplo, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Ludacris, Missy Elliott, A$AP Rocky, Lauryn Hill, Lady Gaga and Baauer.
Wang and Apple also created a video to celebrate the launch of the fashion curator program, showing Wang at home preparing for a house party.
Apple has a history of working with fashion brands – earlier this year, Burberry became the first fashion brand to broadcast a fashion show live on Apple TV.
