Following the recent recognition of BAPE®’s American Dream store by the Retail Design Institute International Design Awards, the Japanese streetwear pioneer continues to expand its global footprint with four new store openings across Asia in 2025, showcasing its signature blend of warm materiality and architectural innovation.
Building upon the award-winning design language first introduced at American Dream, BAPE®’s 2025 store openings demonstrate a sophisticated evolution of the brand’s retail environment. The concept masterfully balances industrial aesthetics with organic warmth through carefully curated material selections – rich wood tones, textured concrete, and strategic lighting create immersive spaces that honor both street culture roots and architectural precision.
Singapore Mandarin Gallery
Embracing the warm tonal palette of the American Dream concept, the Singapore flagship features natural wood finishes and BAPE®’s iconic camo patterns throughout. The space is anchored by a dramatic display of Teriyaki Boyz figures encased in tempered glass, creating an immediate visual connection to the brand’s rich heritage.
Nanjing JLC
Continuing the warm material narrative, the Nanjing location introduces BAPE CAFE!?® alongside the main retail space. Warm wood paneling, marble surfaces, and Bape® LINE CAMO on orange glass partitions create a seamless flow between fashion and lifestyle, while custom neon signage maintains the brand’s streetwise edge.
Guangzhou TaiKoo Hui
Marking a bold departure, the Guangzhou store presents an angular façade clad in blurred reflective stainless steel with BAPE® LINE CAMO finishes. The industrial-modern interior features Italian grey stone flooring, LED light diffusion panels, and a central illumination system that simulates natural daylight – a testament to BAPE®’s design versatility.
Chongqing MixC
Drawing inspiration from the mountainous cityscape, the Chongqing location combines industrial steel elements with vibrant green camo accents. The store’s curved design elements mirror the city’s winding roads, while a custom Chongqing-exclusive camo pattern in fiery orange, red, and pink celebrates local identity.
BAPE®’s global expansion continues to accelerate, with new BAPE STORE® locations set to launch across major fashion capitals including Hong Kong, Seoul, Vancouver, Miami and Paris – further solidifying the brand’s worldwide presence through strategic retail expansion.
Each new location will continue to develop BAPE®’s design narrative while respecting local architectural contexts and cultural nuances. With this strategic expansion, BAPE® continues to strengthen its global presence while maintaining the design excellence that has become synonymous with the brand’s retail vision.
