Bottega Veneta opens its latest store in New York at 58 Gansevoort Street. The 312 square metre space, in the heart of the Meatpacking District, will carry Men’s and Women’s Bags, Ready-to-Wear, Shoes, and Small Leather Goods, as well as Eyewear, Jewellery, Fragrance, and Travel collections. The store interior is characterized by a calm, elevated scheme of concrete flooring and walls, natural oak shelves, and shelf and panel details in green Verde Saint Denis marble.
Alongside custom display cabinets and shelving, the furniture curation includes pieces by Jorge Zalszupin and Lea Colombo, while a glass vase by Orsoni – operational in Venice since 1888 – nods to Bottega Veneta’s roots. A special display cabinet will highlight the brand’s signature colour palette as well as the intricate craft behind the house’s signature Intrecciato weave, first introduced 50 years ago.

The store design also honours the cultural vitality of the Meatpacking District and Bottega Veneta’s long-standing connection with creative practice in New York. A curation of artworks is accompanied by an extensive in-store library with a focus on poetry and painting. Featured books include Robert Rauschenberg’s illustrations for Dante’s Inferno, Etel Adnan’sBetween East & West, and Ed Roberson’s Road Poems.
Founded in Vicenza, in the north-eastern region of Veneto, Italy, in 1966, Bottega Veneta opened its first ever store on Madison Avenue in 1972. Reaching new levels of cultural recognition with its appearance in Paul Schrader’s American Gigolo in 1980, the brand also forged strong relationships across the cultural scene in New York, including with Andy Warhol Studios, Interview Magazine, and the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Next Wave Festival.
