Cambridge House, Auberge Collection, London’s most highly anticipated new hotel set to debut in 2026, today announces a culinary partnership with the visionary Major Food Group, renowned worldwide for their trailblazing destination dining. This exciting collaboration will launch a defining new restaurant for London, Major’s Grill, within the historic walls of Mayfair’s Cambridge House, spotlighting 94 Piccadilly as the epicentre of London’s ever evolving dining scene.
Part of Reuben Brothers’ £1 billion regeneration of 1.3 prime acres of the Piccadilly Estate, Cambridge House, Auberge Collection will introduce the lauded hospitality brand’s defining experiences to the global capital. An original dining concept located within a dramatic Georgian ballroom and courtyard setting, Major’s Grill will bring its vibrant brasserie-style dining room to life with the theatrics for which the epicurean luminaries behind New York’s CARBONE, ZZ’s Club New York, Torrisi Bar & Restaurant, and Sadelle’s are known.
Founded in New York by Jeff Zalaznick, Mario Carbone and Rich Torrisi, Major Food Group has built a global empire in just 10 years comprising over 50 restaurants, bars and private clubs. Famed for curating bold, immersive culinary experiences that hone heritage with contemporary edge, the Group’s theatrical irreverence, novel take on nostalgic dining, and impeccable service has seen its portfolio expand to include some of the world’s most exciting and successful restaurants.
“It would be impossible to overstate what a privilege and dream come true it is for Mario, Rich, and me to have the opportunity to serve as the new culinary stewards of this storied London address. From the very beginning of our journey, MFG has proven its unmatched ability to honor the past while bringing it into the future” — Jeff Zalaznick, MFG Co-Founder.
“This bold and original concept is exactly what we always envisioned for Cambridge House,” said Jamie Reuben, Principal at Reuben Brothers. “Together with Major Food Group and Auberge Collection, we’re creating a destination inspired by The Grill, the iconic New York institution – bringing new energy to one of London’s most historic addresses and reimagining its future.”
“This collaboration will bring a new and truly unique dining destination to London,” said Christian Clerc, President & CEO of Auberge Collection. “Embodying the grandeur and tradition of Mayfair while embracing the innovation and energy that define Auberge Collection and Major Food Group, Major’s Grill will be the most exciting new restaurant in London.”
A glamorous ode to ritzy mid-century dining, Major’s Grill draws inspiration from the classic London grill, blending timeless elegance with dramatic flair. The menu will be a love letter to classic cuisine, showcasing the finest cuts of meat and seafood, while charismatic service captains reanimate the rituals and comforts of fine dining tableside. The extensive drinks list will feature no less than 10 variations of the quintessential martini, while the wine list will rival London’s finest, featuring First Growth Bordeaux, Grand Cru Burgundy, and rare cult vintages.
Set within an elaborate dining room dating back to Cambridge House’s transformation to the Naval & Military Club in 1878, the restaurant’s imaginative renewal by Jean-Louis Deniot will pay homage to its rich history, while placing it once again at the center of London life.
Originally commissioned by the 2nd Earl of Egremont in 1756 to entertain the political and social elite of the age, the Grade 1-listed, Palladian-style mansion hosted Queen Victoria, served as PM Lord Palmerston’s proxy No.10, was home to the Duke of Cambridge and became the legendary Naval and Military ‘In and Out’ Club from 1865 to 1999. When it debuts in 2026, Major’s Grill will reinstate Cambridge House as London’s most vibrant social hub.
This announcement comes at an exciting time of thoughtful and strategic expansion in urban and European markets for Auberge Collection. Earlier this year, the brand opened Collegio alla Querce, Auberge Collection in Florence, Italy and The Woodward, Auberge Collection in the heart of Geneva.
The properties join two existing Auberge properties in Europe, Domaine des Etangs, Auberge Collection in France and Grace Hotel, Auberge Collection in Santorini, Greece. Auberge will also soon open several additional urban locations including The Shore Club, Auberge Collection in Miami Beach, FL, and The Knox, Auberge Collection in Dallas, TX.
