After reporting a 24% increase in its turnover for 2012 reaching a record of 1,24 billion euros, Christian Dior Couture turns to Italy for developing an integrated manufacturing facility. The chosen site is in the town of Scandicci, in Northern Italy, steps from Gucci’s largest manufacturing. The 4.000 sqm manufacturing site which Dior is investing in, will be focusing on high end leatherwear manufacturing. Louis Vuitton and Berluti have also been investing in Italy in their own production facilities in manufacturing of leather goods – shoes, bags and small accessories.
