Cult luxury concept store Dover Street Market which recently expanded its presence in Asia with a new location in Singapore has confirmed plans to open a new location in Loas Angeles. The premises will be located in a 10,000-square-foot unit in the city’s downtown Arts District. Construction work is already underway.
Unlike current multi-storied DSM spaces, Adrian Joffe, husband of Rei Kawakubo and CEO of COMME des GARÇONS, confirmed the store will be spread out across a single floor. “It just felt like the right time and the right place,” said Joffe. “This is not part of a five-year plan. You know us… It’s going to be designed by Rei, and it’s going to look different.”
