Gucci Vault bridges the gap between digital and physical worlds, becoming a creative avenue for otherworldly collections that live in mutual galaxies. Gucci introduced a new division earlier this year, seeing its Continuum initiative bring together emerging and established designers to explore House archives in inventive formats.
Following collaborations with EGONlab. and Vans, Gucci Continuum enlists Barbour for a romantic re-loved collection. The British titan harvests classic outerwear styles with repurposed Gucci textiles, creating collectible items that uphold unique customization.
The one-of-a-kind collection includes eight unisex jackets and three gilets, highlighting key Gucci themes including “Flora,” “Equestrianism,” “English Gardens,” and “Evening.” Each piece is made entirely from Gucci fabrics and maintains Barbour’s classic outlines.
The Barbour wax cotton jacket, Bedale jacket, and Beaufort jacket take center stage. The first is designed with blooming florals and a silk hood, while the latter features a red velvet construction with lifted seams. The iconic Bedale jacket is waxed with an oversized figure and made into gilets from discarded Gucci handbags.
The collection is available now via Gucci and select retailers worldwide.
