Harry Winston introduces the Zalium Collection – a new line of men’s jewelry and accessories. Zalium is a proprietary zirconium-based alloy that originated in the aerospace industry. The unique chemical properties of Zalium, including its lightness and extreme durability, make it the ideal material for use in high-performance design and engineering. Harry Winston first used Zalium in 2001 as part of its innovative timepieces collections.
Harry Winston’s designers and craftsmen introduce the high-tech material to fine jewelry and accessories for the first time with the new Zalium Collection. The sleek new series includes cufflinks, shirt studs, a pendant and wedding bands. Each piece is meticulously crafted using Zalium plates that have been treated at extreme temperatures to achieve a lustrous black finish that is highly scratch and chip resistant. After the heat treatment, the Zalium plates are precision-cut for the ultimate fit and finish. Finally the individual Zalium plates are handset within an 18K white gold bezel and accented with a Harry Winston diamond.
The Zalium Collection will be sold exclusively at Harry Winston retail salons worldwide, starting from September.
