Located between the Borghese Gardens and Via Veneto, Hotel Eden Rome exudes serenity and calm, being just steps from most of the city’s landmark sights. Since opening its doors in 1889, Hotel Eden has been home-away-from home for celebrities, aristocrats and the most discerning travellers, but also locals, thus building a timeless reputation and the ultimate desirability.
Since acquired by Dorchester Collection, the hotel underwent extensive renovations and meticulous restoration works, the hotel regaining its splendour and prestige. From reopening in 2017, Hotel Eden has rightfully earned the reputation of one of the city’s top luxury hotels, with an outstanding dining offering and superb accommodations, as well a boutique luxury Spa and an exquisite bar.
The interior design was conceived by Bruno Moinard, an architect, scenographer, designer, draftsman and painter. He has worked on high-profile projects for museums, exhibitions and luxury boutiques including Cartier. Rooms and suites are spacious, with a subtle balance between understated and sleek, the comfort and functionality being outstanding. Soundproofing, high water pressure and a quiet AC are just some of the ”basics” at Hotel Eden.
With the renovations, the number of rooms and suites was reduced to offer more space and create four new signature suites. The sense of being in Rome is reflected down to the smallest details such as Italian designed and made furniture, the peacock headboards, the bold wardrobe interiors reminiscent of a grand tour travel trunk, the Rubelli curtains and the superb hand-blown Murano glass light-shades.There is an abundance of Roman influences from all over the city.
The intricately carved marble reception and concierge desks are inspired by the altar of peace in Rome’s Ara Pacis museum, and the dramatic black & white floor is a modern take on the ancient Roman floor of the Pantheon. We also designed a carpet for the event spaces with a motif inspired by the famous Baths of Caracalla. Art was another major theme, especially as the hotel overlooks Villa Medici.
Bathrooms are spectacular, the key was finding a spectacular Statuario marble with real depth and lighting it in such a way that is sparkles. Some bathroom feature natural light. Amenities are sourced from Italian beauty brand Ortigia, with a scent that will stay with you. With the bathrooms, an overall impressive sanctuary oasis is achieved, with a unique WOW factor, which will impress every guest. The heavenly beds by Vispring the finest Italian linen provide outstanding sleep experience.
Hotel Eden has some of the most dazzling rooftop bars and restaurants (La Terrazza and Il Giardino Ristorante) in the city, with uninterrupted picture perfect views of the city. Designed by Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku, the two venues have remained flawlessly relevant from the reopening in 2017. Il Giardino Ristorante, relaxed and informal, is the place for modern Italian cuisine with a blissful terrace.
At La Terrazza, chef Fabio Ciervo’s signature dishes include an evolved spin on the traditional cacio e pepe pasta, using Madagascar pepper and rose perfume, and his stracotto di manzo, a delicious long-cooked beef that will leave you speechless. A contemporary cocktail bar, Il Giardino Bar strives to be the next Roman aperitif scene, with Ciervo’s unique cicchetti (finger foods) and amazing tipples. Both dining venues attract an important base of local patrons, making it an ideal mix between hotel guests and non-residing guests.
Beyond its spectacular product which has been impeccably maintained, Hotel Eden Rome boast superlative service standards, whic are even more impressive in their consistency. During the pandemic, the hotel has retained its entire team, giving it an edge over competition. From the day it reopened, Hotel Eden Rome has been striving for nothing but perfection. Service is performed at the highest luxury standards – personalised, intuitive, attentive and genuine. Service is also solid and reliable, making one feel ”in good hands”
