When do you open this year? What is your offering this season? 

Suvretta House has opened its winter season by the 11th December 2020 and is open until 5th April 2021.

As only Ski In & Ski Out Hotel in St. Moritz with private ski lift and perfectly surrounded by nature, Suvretta House is the perfect spot for fairy tale winter holidays. Hotel guests have their own ice skating rink as well as a private curling field in a most beautiful mountain scenery.

Tell us more about the Covid-19 safety & hygiene measures you implemented – including how you plan to maintain these measures consistent. 

In order to make the holidays at Suvretta House as pleasant as possible, we have developed a security concept to limit possible risks preventively and at the same time to guarantee the best possible service. The corresponding hygiene measures are based on the defined specifications by the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (BAG) & HotellerieSuisse and are therefore constantly updated and always adapted to the latest regulations. We are also in close contact with our local doctor and the health authorities from the canton of Graubünden.

Guests  must wear masks within all areas of the Hotel except the Swimming Pool, Steamrooms, Sauna & Gym. In the Restaurants and Bars hotel guests are allowed to take the masks off only when being seated. It is mandatory to be seated in the Restaurants and Bars.

Guests can find the breakfast buffet at the Salon Vert and enjoy it in the Salon Venise and the Grand Restaurant. There is a specially defined safety concept for the breakfast buffet. Masks must be worn and hands must be disinfected each time you access the buffet area. The Suvretta Stube is open daily for lunch and dinner. 4 guests per table maximum (except family from one household). All Restaurants and Bars are closed from 11 pm onwards.

All our employees are trained in the latest guidelines for each department. Facilities such as Reception, Concierge Desk and Spa Reception are equipped with protective glass. This ensures that our guests receive the personal attention they are accustomed to. Protective clothing such as masks and gloves are worn by our staff where appropriate and in accordance with state regulations.

All contact points such as door handles, push buttons, light switches etc. are frequently disinfected and carefully cleaned. The same applies to our transport vehicles. Protective masks, gloves and disinfectants are available on request. Contactless disinfectant dispensers are positioned in all public areas. Floor markings will help you to maintain the safety distance.

Is your offering affected in any way by the pandemic? –  limited offering or limited service (ex if you have reduced your team) 

In order to guarantee the wellbeing of our guests as usual, we have decided to limit the number of rooms for this season, therefore we also have a reduced team of employees.

Restaurants & bars that are connected to hotel facilities are without exception only accessible to hotel guests in compliance with the general security measures. Only guests, who are also staying at Suvretta House, will be allowed access to the hotel and all its facilities such as restaurants, bars, spa i.e. Our mountain restaurants Chasellas and Trutz are also closed until until 18th December. At the moment it is not allowed to do events.

We always try to keep the highest safety standards in every department, always based on the measurements of the Government. Suvretta House is only surrounded by nature, in the midst of Stone-pine forests, this is a very important benefit to our guests. As an exclusive Ski In & Ski Out Hotel with private ski lift, our 5-star luxury resort is the only hotel in St. Moritz offering direct access to the superb Corviglia ski area and Social Distancing on Snow. The spacious architecture of Suvretta House offers lots of space enabling our guests to relax and unwind.

What about skiing?

As mentioned before, the Suvretta private ski lift, exclusively offered to our guests and members, provides the perfect start to unforgettable skiing experiences. We also have our own Suvretta Sports School, where every guest has the possibility to do courses with his very own skiing instructor. Directly in the hotel located, winter sports enthusiasts will find everything their heart desires at the Saxer Ski Shop, whether to buy or to rent. The Corviglia in St. Moritz is known above all to winter sports enthusiasts. In St. Moritz, winter tourism was invented more than 150 years ago. Today Corviglia is one of the most renowned ski areas in the world, all pists are now open and ready for our guests.
