How is the Teleferic Grand Hotel positioned in Poiana Brasov’s luxury hotel sector?
Teleferic Grand Hotel is more than just a place to stay — it is a symbol of Poiana Brașov. We are proud to be the most awarded hotel in Romania, but what truly sets us apart is the atmosphere: the feeling of being welcomed into a mountain home, where luxury blends seamlessly with warmth, tradition, and the beauty of nature.
Tell us more about the USPs and comp set.
Our greatest strength is the way we connect people with the mountain. The ski-in/ski-out location only 50 m far away from ski sloaps, the panoramic views, the vibrant après-ski moments, the refined traditional and internatonal gastronomy, and the spa create a universe where guests can both celebrate and unwind. We don’t just offer facilities — we offer memories. That is why our competition is not only other hotels, but also destinations that promise unforgettable alpine escapes.
What about the guest profile? Which are the main feed markets?
Our guests are curious, active, and passionate about experiences. Families who want their children to discover the joy of snow, couples who dream of romantic evenings by the fireplace, international travelers looking for authenticity, and corporate groups that turn work into shared adventure. While most of our guests come from Romania, we also welcome visitors from the UK, Germany, Israel, the US and neighboring countries — all drawn by the charm of our mountains and the reputation of Teleferic Grand Hotel.
How are the dining and wellness offerings conceived?
Dining at Teleferic Grand Hotel is a journey. From the first coffee enjoyed while the forest wakes up, to fine dining evenings paired with Romanian and intenational wines, to the winter festive après-ski — every meal is a story. Our wellness concept is designed as an embrace: 3 warm saunas, relaxing massages, a pool, and 2 outdoor Jacuzzi where guests can watch the snow fall on the pines. It is our way of offering balance between energy and serenity.
Is there a concept for the interior design aesthetic?
Yes — it’s about soul and authenticity. Wood, stone, and firelight recall the spirit of the mountain chalets, while elegant finishes and contemporary lines remind guests that they are in a five-star hotel, even if we have only 4 stars on the building. Every detail, from textures to artworks, is meant to tell a story of harmony between tradition and modernity.
To what extent do you attract non resident guests? What about the ratio of leisure versus corporate?
Many locals and visitors who don’t stay with us still come to enjoy our restaurants, après-ski atmosphere, or the spa. It makes us happy to be a living part of Poiana Brașov, not just a hotel. In terms of stays, about two-thirds of our guests are leisure travelers — families, couples, groups of friends — while the rest are corporate, who bring energy and creativity to our conference spaces.
We have 4 conference rooms.
What motivated the choice to operate the hotel independently, without a chain or hotel group affiliation?
Independence was, for us, the natural choice. It allows us to keep our identity, to innovate, and to remain authentic. Guests often tell us they feel “at home” here — and that is something that no global standard can replicate. The freedom to create our own path, to honor the history of the hotel, and to put heart before rules has made us who we are today. Many, many guest are coming to Live de Legend ! in our hotel.
Please share more about your strategic approach to service. Is there a recipe to achieve and maintain a high level of customer service?
Our philosophy is simple: we welcome guests as friends. We train our team to anticipate needs, but more importantly, to connect with people on a personal level. A genuine smile, remembering a favorite wine, preparing a room with small touches that matter — these gestures make a stay memorable. The recipe is love for hospitality, consistency, and respect for every guest who chooses us.
Which are the novelties we shall be expecting for the rest of 2025 and in 2026?
This year is a celebration — we mark 10 years since Teleferic Grand Hotel opened its doors. To honor this, we created the “10 Magical Weekends” campaign all the summer, full of surprises for our guests. Looking ahead to 2026, we are preparing new spa experiences, seasonal culinary week-ens, and fresh concepts that will bring even more magic to every season. Our promise is that guests will always find something new to discover, while still feeling the familiar warmth that defines Teleferic Grand Hotel.
