Compared to Harajuku, Shibuya and Aoyama, the Ikebukuro area of Tokyo is much lesser known to those venturing here from abroad to indulge in the city’s vast and diverse retail scene. The Seibu Ikebukuro department store first opened here in the 1950s and has been a fixture ever since, especially for luxury goods. Louis Vuitton has not only expanded, but also revamped its shop-in-shop.

The interior design, created by the brand’s in-house design team, features curved lines and homey seating arrangements to create a more modern space. The store which is spread over two floors features women’s on the ground floor, and presents ready-to-wear, accessories, shoes, leather goods, jewellery and watches, and fragrances, and one floor up, the men’s section unfolds, stocking ready-to-wear, accessories, leather goods, shoes and books.
