Considered as the wealthiest city of Spain, Barcelona is also the primary luxury shopping concentration for both Spanish and foreign travellers. Iconic Passeig de Gracia avenue and Il Corte Ingles Diagonal are home to most of the international luxury fashion, accessories and jewellery brands.
Balenciaga recently opened a brand new store on Passeig de Gracia, while Dior, Rolex, Montblanc, Kenzo and Versace have revamped their stores to feature their latest retail design concept. Loewe is expected to reopen its flagship store on Passeig de Gracia boasting the Loewe Casa flagship concept. Emporio Armani is opening a new store in Passeig de Gracia this summer. Hermes now operates two boutiques in Barcelona, one on Passeig de Gracia and one at Il Corte Ingles.
