The recently inaugurated state of the art terminal at Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport has doubled retail and food & beverage operations. The new terminal which cost 150 million euros, has added 11 new boarding bridges, over 1.000 sqm retail space and 300 sqm food & beverage outlets, including a franchise operation of Illy Cafe.
The duty free retail space is operated by Romanian company Graftex, better known for its Bigotti menswear brand. Graftex has been operating the duty free spaces at the older section of Bucharest airport for more than 10 years.
Apart from all major international luxury cosmetics and fragrances brands, some with dedicated corners, the new duty free at Henri Coada Otopeni aiport includes corners of MontBlanc and Swarovski.
With the occasion of the inauguration of the new terminal at Henri Coada airport, Romanian national carrier Tarom unveiled a Sky Team Alliance branded aircraft. Tarom has been a member of Skyteam since 2010.
