Swiss watchmaker and jeweler Piaget (owned by Richemont Group) has revealed a major statement piece ahead of the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie January 21, 2013. The Piaget Emperador Coussin Ultra Thin Minute Repeater is a double record-holder, being both the thinnest minute repeater wristwatch (9.4mm thick case) and having the thinnest movement (4.8mm for the automatic calibre 1290P). This minute repeater is a first for Piaget and completes the firm’s high complication journey, with in-house chronographs, perpetual calendars and tourbillons already in the mix.
