South Korean luxury cosmetics brand Tamburins has landed in Tokyo with a flagship store, in tandem with the new retail space of affiliated eyewear brand Gentle Monster. The Tamburins flagship store occupies a two-level unit on the premises of The Jewels of Aoyama, a mixed-use building with a striking façade which is situated right next to Prada’s futuristic glass tower.
Similar to its retail spaces in the homeland, the interior design is infused with highly evocative settings beyond any genre, which sometimes also take cues from Tamburins‘ expanding product line. The premises are dotted with a wide variety of displays, or rather, fanstastical volumes used as displays, and also beautifully crafted props which reference the merchandise on display.
Tamburins‘offerings include a range of shower and body wash products, scented candles, fragrances, soaps and lip balms. The brand’s recently launched Pumkini scented candle, a candle whose fragrance combines white pumpkin with Perilla leaves and blood oranges, and this product has certainly influenced the decor, given the many references.
