Following last year’s collaboration with Madrid-based menswear destination Late Checkout, The Ritz-Carlton has now announced a new partnership with Parisian fashion brand Kilometre known for hand-embroidered totes (called “Undercover Baskets”) that nod to popular vacation spots, from Positano and Bora Bora to Saint-Tropez and Hong Kong.
Now, Kilometre is able to pay homage to The Ritz-Carlton’s most beloved, sun-soaked coastal resorts — Laguna Niguel, Santa Barbara, Amelia Island, and Key Biscayne, of course — and capture each one’s unique spirit vis-à-vis date palm leaves, wool, and timeless Moroccan weaving techniques. Shoppers are treated to a line of color-happy haulers that can be taken from the beach to the tiki bar and back again, or else sported in your own chilly city as a reminder of unforgettable memories made during PTO.
While The Ritz-Carlton x Kilometre Undercover Baskets — all parrot, flamingo, sunset, and cocktail motifs; invigorating yet never-tacky hues; and intricate textures — clock in at 45 cm x 34 cm and have two handle length options, the Le Tube Baskets available for purchase are skinnier and more aligned with the proportions of a rolled-up towel. Both are apt choices for brightening your everyday ensembles and signaling to passerby your globetrotting tendencies.
