The Savoy London (Fairmont) announces The Royal Suite by Gucci, the second collaboration with the house of Gucci which this year celebrates its centenary. Earlier this year, The Savoy was the backdrop for Gucci Aria, the anniversary collection signed by Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele. For the first time the collection included ”hacks’ by French couture house Balenciaga which is also owned by Kering Group.
Guccio Gucci worked at The Savoy as a luggage porter when a young man and it was observing the finery and accessories of our guests that was the impetus to create his own brand. The Royal Suite by Gucci now features decor and furnishing from the Gucci Décor Collection and art from auctioneers Christie’s.
