Currently located at 845 Madison Avenue, the Tom Ford flagship store in New York will relocate nine blocks south to a 12,300-square-foot lot within the historic Carlton House at 680 Madison Avenue. Sitting between 61st and 62nd Streets, Carlton House was built in 1951 and boasts soaring windows, stylish art-deco details, and a brick exterior. The new location is expected to open in 2017.
“The Manhattan store, opened in 2007, was the first Tom Ford store, and it took something quite special to inspire a move,” the designer said in a statement. “This new location, with its combination of historic elegance and light-filled interior spaces, is unique to the city. The Carlton House will offer an exceptional home for Tom Ford.”
Similar to the current flagship, the Carlton House store will span two floors. Visitors to the ground level will be able to shop Ford’s expansive accessories and beauty line, while those upstairs will find salons devoted to both men’s and womenswear, luggage, and shoes. Custom tailoring services for Ford’s most discerning clients will also be offered on-site
