Van Cleef & Arpels has unveiled a new duplex-structured boutique in the heart of Singapore’s ION Orchard. As Southeast Asia’s first two-storey Van Cleef & Arpels space, the new landmark creates an environment that celebrates nature, imagination, and the enduring poetry of artisanal craftsmanship. The boutique’s design reflects the softness and whimsy for which Van Cleef & Arpels is renowned. Natural light filters across two floors, illuminating delicate vitrines and two private salons designed with the airiness of a French apartment.
“As a High Jewellery Maison with more than 110 years of savoir-faire and excellent craftsmanship, we want to keep inspiring jewellery and watchmaking enthusiasts with our iconic collections and stories,” says Julie Clody Medina, President of Van Cleef & Arpels, Asia Pacific. “Today, we are honoured to welcome our guests and present our creations in a boutique experience surrounded by an oasis of nature in the Garden City of Singapore.”
Singapore’s “Garden City” identity is deeply woven into its national narrative, and Van Cleef & Arpels embraces this identity wholeheartedly. The first private salon on the ground floor welcomes visitors into a daylight-filled space with an immersive garden setting reminiscent of a greenhouse. Here, one can find the Flower Brooch, a brilliant statement piece that depicts an orchid in full bloom. This showcased creation, crafted in diamonds and platinum, was originally conceived in 1927, a period defined by the bold geometries of Art Deco.
Naturally, the new boutique plays host to some of Van Cleef & Arpels’ most emblematic creations. Among them is the High Jewellery collection Treasure Island, inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson’s famed adventure novel. The resulting pieces form a jewelled tapestry of flora, fauna, and fantastical storytelling, where taking centre stage is the Récif Corallien necklace that weaves 18K white and rose gold into a luminous reef of colour and texture; at its centre sits a vivid 5.33-carat oval ruby from Thailand.
Upstairs, the second private salon is furnished in a similar muted fashion, with olive and champagne tones accentuated by velvet cushions, emerald quartz surface tops, and dark wood carpentry. While here, guests can enjoy curated tea selections made exclusively for Van Cleef & Arpels, all while taking in unblocked views of the city streets that bathe the room in natural light throughout the day and into the night.
To celebrate the festive season following the boutique’s opening, Van Cleef & Arpels has unveiled a winter installation that’s currently running until 1 January 2026. Created in collaboration with designers Burcu & Geoffrey, the scenography transforms the outdoor façade into an enchanting forest. Interactive activities are peppered throughout, including a digital scavenger hunt that takes guests through the stories behind Van Cleef & Arpels’ signature creations.
